Judd has been training in the field of speed and strength for 15 years. For the past 7 years, Judd has made it his profession. Out of high school, Judd was drafted by the L.A. Dodgers in the 4th round. After playing baseball, he went back into football and signed a scholarship to play for the University of Tennessee. After finishing college and football he founded D-1 Speed and Strength in Hendersonville, TN. He moved the sports training business to Franklin, TN where he was a founding partner of D-1 Sports Training. Several years later he founded MAD Sports Training located in Brentwood, TN. Judd has trained professional athletes, 1st Round NFL draft picks, Major League draft picks, and 100s of athletes that have signed athletic scholarships. He has worked with the likes of Deangelo Williams, Samari Rolle, Derrick Mason, Rocky Boimen, Brodie Croyle, and Keith Bullock.

Matt is a 2003 graduate of Lipscomb University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a Master’s degree in Education. He spent 2 years as a graduate assistant speed and strength coach and 3 years as a full-time assistant speed and strength coach.  Matt worked with 17 teams and during his tenure at Lipscomb, the women’s golf program had their first NAIA national champion, the volleyball and softball teams made their first and second appearances to the Atlantic Sun Tournament, the men’s basketball team received an invitation to the NIT, and the women’s basketball team received a bid to the NCAA tournament.

From 2007-08 Matt was the Director of Athletic Development at S3, a sports performance center in Jacksonville, Florida. While at S3, Matt, directed the marketing, business development, and designed and oversaw all speed, agility, acceleration, power, conditioning, and flexibility programs. Matt worked with athletes from all age groups, levels, and sports. He also designed and implemented a training program for elite Navy SEAL recruits.
